Q-Range – the most mysterious parameter of quantization in Logic Pro X?

Asked by: Melissa Simmons

What is Q-range in logic?

Q-Range: Defines which notes are quantized based on their proximity to quantization grid positions. At the default value of 0, every note is quantized.

What is Q-range?

Q-Range requires a standard quantization to be already selected. These are the same values you’ve been selecting since you’ve learned how to quantize; 1/16, 1/8 and 1/4 notes for music based on quadruplets, and 1/24 and 1/12 and 1/6 notes for triplet based songs (are all common values).

What is quantization in Logic Pro X?

Important: The Quantize parameter is non-destructive. It adjusts the playback positions of notes in MIDI regions when Logic Pro is in playback or record mode. The original positions are kept in the regions, so you can go back to the original timing.

How do you use quantization in Logic Pro?

So this line is here left click with your mouse. Now we have a transient marker here if you made a mistake you can always go up here follow the line to this little X and remove that marker.

What is quantization and why its needed?

Quantization is the process of mapping continuous infinite values to a smaller set of discrete finite values. In the context of simulation and embedded computing, it is about approximating real-world values with a digital representation that introduces limits on the precision and range of a value.

What is swing quantize?

And swing quantization and swing what is quantization. Quantization is the procedure to where you quantify in the world of FL studio' when you quantify.

How do I stop logic auto quantizing?
